Sciatica is a term used for pain down the leg emanating from the sciatic nerve. There are many different causes of sciatica and many different presentations. It can go down one or both legs, buttock(s) and normally originates in the lower back.
Sciatica can originate from bulging discs, joints, muscle spasms, degeneration (stenosis) or numerous other factors. Typically is worse with sitting, driving, standing and is relieved with walking. Common medication prescribed your GP can not correct the nerve compression caused by a bulging disc.
Dr Sean Michael Browne has years of experience dealing with patients with all different forms of sciatica. Getting an accurate diagnosis and early chiropractic intervention gives you the best chance of a full recovery!
